Our Mission
The Stasis Foundation began in 1996 with an ambitious vision. We sought to bring to fruition the ideal research facility in cryobiology; one that is secure, self-sufficient and capable of indefinitely storing cryopreserved biological specimens, including DNA, organs for transplant and whole organisms. Through extensive research and our organizational network we aim to perfect the process of reversible cryopreservation and also revivification of existing specimens, extinct and near extinct species where necessary.
Our Vision
Through an exhaustive site selection process that considered all conceivable risks to our potentially indefinite operations, we had identified our current HQ in Comfort, Texas to be the most secure location to begin our mission.
The Stasis Foundation Research Park consists of 866 acres of sprawling hill country, all of which is resourcefully dedicated to the enduring success of our mission.
As originally envisioned, the Stasis Foundation Research Park, sought to feature a series of permanent solutions meant to ensure that every logistical problem in the way of research and storage were solved up front. Although this original architectural conception was designed to be segmentally modular, it involved upfront costs that were astronomical relative to our fundraising successes.
We have since revised our approach to address our objectives in an itemized manner. In this way, our projects and research efforts can be implemented in a scalable fashion with collaboration from our partners in the cryobiological sciences.
Our Big Project
We have made diplomatic efforts with numerous cryobiological research institutions to try and pool resources to foster our common objectives.
While many lucrative opportunities remain tentative, we are pleased to report we have entered into a partnership with the European Biostasis Foundation (EBF).
EBF has demonstrated remarkable growth in the scale of their cryobiological research operations in Europe and now they appear set to spearhead the groundwork for the initial cryobiological storage and research facility here at the Stasis Foundation Research Park.
We have begun efforts to crowdfund this project and we need your help.
